Governance

RTO/ERO is governed by its Senate, made up of two appointed representatives from each of its 48 District Executives. Senators meet twice a year to receive reports from the Provincial Executive, President and Executive Director, and decide upon financial and policy issues. Annually, the Senate elects this Provincial Executive and approves RTO/ERO’s operating budget.

The Provincial Executive meets monthly and has several standing committees including Communications, Health Services & Insurance, Member Services, Pension & Retirement Concerns, Political Action, and Project - Service to Others. These committees usually meet quarterly.
